Click here for details on FOUNDATIONS OF PASTORAL COUNCILS Click here for key tasks of PASTORAL PLANNING Click here for QUALITIES OF PASTORAL PLANNERS Our Parish Pastoral CouncilAs members of the Catholic Church within the Diocese of Broken Bay, all in the Lakes Catholic parish of St Joseph's and St Rose, through their Baptism and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, are a community of disciples of Jesus, who are committed to work together to extend the Kingdom of God. We have a Parish Pastoral Council. Members on the council are selected by parishioners from the Lakes Parish. Our PPC consists of elected parishioners + 4 ex officio members - Parish Priest, Deacon and the principals of our parish primary schools. Members of the Lakes Parish Pastoral Council 2010/2011: Sharon Esterman; Michael Maynard; Hans van Schie; Jane Kenny; Irma Reid; Shayne Pollard; Phil Summers; Brian Bonney; Exofficio members- Fr Paul Walsh; Deacon David McKenzie; Don O'Brien; Josie Vescio P.P.C. members come together to build and strengthen a vital Christian community by focussing on living and promoting God's love and peace. The PPC actively works with the Parish Priest in a collaborative leadership role in our parish communities. The Parish Pastoral Council live out their responsibility by:
- Proclaiming the Good News of Jesus through their words and actions.
- Responding personally to God's unique love for each of us and reaching out to others in the love of Jesus.
- Celebrating and sharing our Catholic faith and life experience.
- Educating God's people in the Catholic story and beleifs and the implications in one's life.
- Serving each other, the community and all creation in justice and love.
- Seeking unity with other fellow Christians and having meaningful dialogue with people of all faiths.
