Bring your little ones to our playgroup at St Rose where they can play in our safe and friendly courtyard. We enjoy making new friends and we have fun playing with lots of different toys.

TODDLERS SUNDAY (to 5 years)
On the 1st Sunday of the month (during school terms) we offer a special time for our pre-schoolers whilst mum & dad can have some time p & q during Mass. Parents can drop their children at the parish office next door to St Rose Church (cnr Veterans Parade & Rose Avenue). Two trained child-care workers will welcome and entertain the children during the 8am Mass. Toddlers Sunday runs along the lines of a playgroup; be assured that your children will be cared for.

Children's Liturgy of the Word (5-9 years)
"It is an experience of prayer.....of time with God at a level that speaks to the children"
We celebrate Children's Liturgy of the Word at both churches. Children from 5yrs - 10yrs are invited to 8am Mass at St Rose Church, Collaroy Plateau on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month during school terms and 9.30am Mass at St Joseph's Church, Narrabeen on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
The children gather together and enjoy listening to and talking about God with children of their own age. Enquiries ring the parish office 9982.1058.

Do you have unresolved issues / prayer requests that occupy your mind?
If so, you can write them down, anonymously, and place them in our PARISH PETITION BOX where they will be prayed for (unopened) by fellow parishioners each Monday evening. Alternatively, you might like to join us in this special weekly hour of prayer, singing and quiet adoration before the exposed Eucharist.

CHRISTIAN MEDITATION - Wednesday Evenings....7.30pm - 8.15pm
Parishioners are invited to share some time in Christian Meditation. This is an ancient and wonderful form of Christian Prayer; in many ways, the simpliest form of communion with God. The benefits are enormous, not least in spiritual and emotional healing - the greatest of all - a closeness to the God of Creation.

Family Groups: The Passionist Family Group Movement
Our aims and goals are:
- To get to know other members of the parish
- To support each other, sharing each others joys and sorrows and so building the Christian community as in the early church
- To involve our children in our Christian sharing directly, if possible. If not, then indirectly by our example
Our parish community has a number of active family groups that have been together for several years. Family groups, consisting of people from two to eighty two years, meet monthly for various social outings - barbeques, picnics, tennis games, movies and restaurant visits seem to be among our favourites. Most family groups take at least one weekend away together per year and all come together annually for the Family Groups Anniversary BBQ. Each family group also provides morning tea once a month after our Sunday morning Masses.
